REGARI (Roscommon & East Galway) Recovery College

  • Welcome to Galway Recovery College

Based at the Institute for Lifecourse & Society Building (ILAS), University of Galway, North Campus, Galway Recovery College offers recovery education to everyone.

All recovery education sessions are available in person and most - except Wellness Recovery Action Planning and our sessions for students who are in-patients in the Acute Adult Mental Health Unit - are also available on-line.  We recommend that students check their email before attending in person in case Covid forces us online again.

The college aims to support, maintain and promote positive mental health in the community and to foster hopeful positive conversations about human distress and the challenges associated with poor mental health. Our mission is to advance personal recovery through vibrant adult education. This is a service for all in our community and I encourage you to get involved. The Galway College also has a sister college for the Mayo area and the Roscommon East Galway area, REGARI and is allied with a physical health adult education programme called Living Well with which we share many values.

I hope you find the website a useful resource and please do not hesitate to get in touch for further information, clarification or even a chat.
